Prateek is a genre-bending film composer, record producer and guitar player from India via Oman whose artistry spans across many musical explorations.
From Star Wars’ The Mandalorian (Season 3), Justin Timberlake's TROLLS Band Together (Dreamworks), Creed 3 (MGM) to SXSW-Winning, Venice Film Festival Official Selection Body of Mine, he has written and collaborated with artists like Lizzo, Joseph Shirley and Ludwig Göransson.
He is passionate about various genres of music, albeit through an artistic lens, and enjoys dabbling between the film, concert and music industries respectively. He is the chief songwriter of India's premier death metal export Gutslit, and they recently released their third record Carnal to critical acclaim. He is also co-writing and producing a Stones Throw Records artist. In 2022, Prateek was mentored by composer Derrick Skye, and his chamber piece Rub' al Khali was premiered by Salastina.
In his young career, Prateek has received accolades and recognition as an artist, and has been featured on Rolling Stone, Red Bull Music, VICE, Metal Injection and a multitude of popular media.
He holds a M.M. from USC's prestigious Screen Scoring program and currently lives and works in Los Angeles.
